Practitioner Requirements -
To be an ABC-certified professional, applicants
must possess the following:

A baccalaureate degree
-
A postgraduate certificate of education in
orthotics and / or prosthetics
-
One year of residency experience under an
ABC-certified professional
-
Successfully complete a comprehensive four-day
examination.
Recertification is required every five years to
ensure that practitioners maintain their skills and knowledge by attending continuing
education courses.
